How GUESS simplified operations while growing 73% YoY.
For many brands, early marketplace success often starts manually. A few channels go live, orders begin flowing and revenue starts building.
But as volume increases, so does complexity.
That was the position GUESS found itself in as the brand already had marketplace presence, but the operating model behind it wasn’t built to scale.
Listings, pricing, inventory and fulfillment were becoming harder to manage as new opportunities emerged. To unlock meaningful growth, GUESS needed more than another tool.
Most retailers think marketplace growth creates operational chaos.
GUESS proved the opposite -since onboarding Omnivore
- 73% YoY sales growth
- 11% increase in average order value
- Faster marketplace launches
- Less manual operational overhead
The difference? Better infrastructure underneath the growth.
The Challenge
Before Omnivore, marketplaces were managed individually which meant that routine work often took far longer than it should.
Price updates had to be made platform by platform. Product imports were manual. Each marketplace had its own image requirements, data rules and operational quirks to manage separately.
Overselling was also a constant risk, with inventory selling across multiple channels at once and no centralised real-time control. At modest volumes, this was manageable but at scale, it wasn’t.
The business knew that if marketplace revenue was going to become meaningful, the model behind it needed to change.
Omnivore gave us the structure and confidence to scale marketplaces properly. What was once manual and time-consuming became streamlined, predictable and much easier to manage. It allowed us to move faster on new opportunities while keeping pricing, inventory and day-to-day operations under control.
The Risk
Launching GUESS into new marketplaces came with more complexity than a standard retailer.
As a globally licensed brand operating in Australia, marketplace expansion required additional brand approvals alongside the usual listing, content and compliance requirements.
Operationally, there were also real commercial risks to solve:
- Monthly product drops needing to launch smoothly
- Pricing needing to stay aligned across channels
- Markdowns requiring fast, coordinated updates
- Overselling across multiple live marketplaces
- Customer disappointment caused by stock mismatches
Without the right system in place, growth can quickly create friction. The challenge wasn’t just launching, it was scaling without losing control while increasing full visibility.

The Omnivore Approach
Omnivore became the central hub connecting everything.
Listings, pricing, inventory and marketplace feeds could now be managed through one operating layer rather than multiple disconnected platforms./p>
That meant centralised listing management, real-time stock updates across channels, synchronised pricing and promotions, simpler handling of monthly product drops, a reduced risk of duplicate orders, and faster onboarding to new marketplaces.
Instead of managing each channel separately, GUESS could now scale from one source of truth.
The Outcome for GUESS
The impact was felt quickly.
Marketplace operations became easier, faster and more reliable and tasks that previously required multiple systems and manual updates were now handled centrally.
Most importantly, growth accelerated. Since onboarding Omnivore, GUESS can now launch on a new marketplace in as little as two weeks, and sometimes less.
What used to feel like a major operational project is now simply the next connection. That shift fundamentally changed how the GUESS business views expansion.

Team Impact
Beyond the platform itself, the ongoing support made a real difference.
Krystal, Omnivore’s account manager, worked closely with the team from day one, helping connect new marketplace opportunities, supporting feed setup and ensuring growth plans kept moving.
Operational issues were typically resolved within 24 hours, meaning problems didn’t linger and momentum wasn’t lost. For the internal team, this created confidence, less time was spent in operational issues and more time was spent growing the channel.
What This Means
Many retailers see marketplaces as complicated.
GUESS proved they become far simpler when the right infrastructure sits underneath them.
With Omnivore in place, expansion became faster, inventory stayed accurate, promotions remained coordinated, operations became easier to manage and growth became repeatable. New marketplaces were no longer heavy operational lifts, they were simply the next step to scaling their growth.
